Recently A4BEE CEO, Łukasz Paciorkowski, published a company summary of 2020. For many, last year wasn’t what they expected or hoped for. For A4BEE it was much more than a time of challenges. For us, 2020 was the time of growth and new opportunities.
First of all, our tech_hive grew by 100%.
Most importantly, this increased our capabilities in the fields of engineering, consulting, project management and cloud technologies. More people means more expertise, opinions and a wider range of views. All of that to make our work more effective and fruitful.
Secondly, our revenue grew 60%.
It showed us that we are able to sell new projects while retaining our previous long-term initiatives. We’re not slowing down and we’re not forgetting about our long run projects.
Thirdly. Our pretax profit grew 100% in comparison to 2019.
This means in 2020 we were able to significantly optimize our overhead costs while growing the revenue and company in general. We still plan to further improve our ratio of expenses and revenues, especially with the current dynamic expansion of A4BEE.
Moreover. Our cash flow fell 13% while still maintaining a 25% operating cash flow margin compared to the previous year.
This simple metric tells us something obvious, yet something we must have in mind while planning all of our projects and initiatives: growth eats cash. In 2021 we plan to implement additional measures to improve our cash flow.
Last but not least. Something definitely worth mentioning is that despite our expansion, we as A4BEE are still fully self-funded.
With our independence, our credit lines are closed and our investors are our customers.

- In 2020 we decided to financially support one individual fund raise for SMA treatment and 3 non-profit organizations that change people’s lives and have a positive impact on the world around us. You can read more about this here.
- Environment, ethics, labor & human rights, sustainable procurement. All of these are important in our work and on a daily basis. As a company, we were recognized by EcoVadis with a bronze medal for our internal sustainability practices.
- Equality in A4BEE is essential as we believe in its power. We need different views on what surrounds us, how we can solve our clients’ problems and how we can create optimal solutions. We want to benefit from the diversity that people bring to the company. This is why in 2020 we signed the Forbes Women Polska “Equal Company” (Równa Firma) declaration. 2021 began with 5 new people onboard, so our growth in the new year has already started. We are also beginning a product division in A4BEE targeting use cases in Industry 4.0 – new partnerships are being forged and first customers are lining up.
Relationships are extremely important in our company. Therefore we’re glad that we managed to have an off-site integration meeting and many smaller events in one of our offices in Warsaw and Wroclaw, with the sanitary regime being respected.
The year 2021 is another opportunity for us to face new challenges and search for new innovative solutions. As our team continues to grow, we want to continue our development in a sustainable, purposeful and value-driven manner while remaining true to the values that are important to us and the lessons learned from previous years.
